Aggies Score Nine Runs in Seventh Inning to Defeat Oregon 15-9

OMAHA, Neb. (June 10, 2024) - Texas A&M baseball rallied from a 6-0 deficit to defeat Oregon 15-9 in a wild College World Series elimination game on Saturday night at TD Ameritrade Park Omaha.

The Aggies scored a run in the third inning, two in the fifth, and four in the sixth to tie the game at 7-7. They then exploded for nine runs in the seventh inning to take a commanding lead.

Oregon tried to rally in the eighth inning, scoring two runs on a home run by Matt Kroon. But the Ducks could get no closer, and Texas A&M held on for the victory.

The Aggies finished the game with 15 hits, including three home runs. Oregon had nine hits, including two home runs.

Texas A&M starter Chandler Jozwiak pitched 5.1 innings, allowing six runs on eight hits. He struck out six batters and walked two.

Oregon starter Isaac Ayon pitched 5.0 innings, allowing four runs on seven hits. He struck out seven batters and walked two.

Texas A&M advances to the College World Series semifinals, where they will face the winner of the game between Stanford and North Carolina.
